scanning downloads

Sorry i'm back on so soon with another question......saving music to my downloads folder....do i scan them with antivrus when they are in the folder and would i be at risk to viruses if i preview the music..as i see i cannot scan
if i rite click on the selection before downloading.....seem to only be able to scan once they are in the folder....:rolleyes_2:

Deffinatley scan them once there downloaded...
To do this go to your shared folder outside of limwire...

You will find this folder by clicking on one of your files in your LW library and clicking explore...
Right click on one of your MP3 files
Select scan with your AV...;)

With previewing it's similar, your incomplete folder is in the same location as your shared...The folder is titled Incomplete...
You can right click on that as well and scan with your AV...

I will do this if I want to preview movie files, but with music I usually just let the download complete and then scan from the shared folder...;)

I have made a shortcut for my desktop to my shared folder...

I can scan the files in download folder outside of limewire ok.....but i notice i cannot scan within LW..doesnt give me the option....so would i now be safer scanning previews first outside of LW as well before listening to the preview
?

Yep, you can't scan files within limewire, you have to access the folders there in on your hard drive..;)

Yes it's always safer to scan your previews as well, I do...
