SORTED..................(by my nephew who is 10 years younger than me) I have spent 4 days and he literally spent 4 mins (no joke, he did!!!) I feel like a right lemon. I removed Norton (though there was no need) but my lappie is running a lot faster. I had installed PC Tools Spy Doctor and PC Tools Firewall Plus. It was basically the MS Firewall that was stopping it. THough I had removed this before, I did not fully reboot. DOH!!!! Though I did download via thrid party site, not directly from LW!!!. I have my Phishing filter and all the other security's on....Happy days......No need to unistall IE7. Everything is the same, just removed Norton no sure if that helps) and disabled the MS Firewall. Thanks for your help tho Gramps...A very happy Londoner!!!!!!!!
