cant connect to L M
 

need help connecting to L/W, im behind globe with brick on front, and got only one green block, im using window xp, and norton protection rogers yahoo/online protection, i was using it before, but the old like 6.8 or some thing, and then cant connect so down load new version 12. and cant connect need advice

No wonder!

The globe with a brick in front means you are behind a firewall, and an easily be fixed by either:

A) Creating an exception for limewire (can't remember what it is).

B) Completely turn the security program off temporarily.

Thw low number of bars should be fixed when the firewall allows LimeWire through.

I had that exact same problem. I had an older version of limewire and from time it would say "connecting" and not do anything. But it would still allow me to download, just not search for anything. So i'd restart limewire and it'd be ok. I was behind a firewall then and I was still able to use limewire. But recently it stopped connecting at all. I disabled my norton anti virus and still could not connect. i tried making exceptions, re-downloading limewire and everything. Am I doing something wrong?
