unable to download, please help
 

Hello,

I have no problems installing limewire, nor finding downloads. Once I have searched on a keyword I do get a list with all the downloads. However, I cannot select one. If I select an item and press the 'download' button nothing happens. Does anybody have an idea what might be the problem??

I would really appreciate if somebody could help me out. Thanks in advance.

I have a similar issue with my macbook. Acquisition connects and searches but none of the downloads ever connects to download! They hang for a bit and then say no sources. I have tried numerous times for downloading but no dice. Acquisition help site didn't....

Hi Thundertech,

You might be seeing fake files. These typically sit connecting for ages & then get stuck needing sources forever. If you're searching for music: Try the All Types search, search for album or artist rather than song title, go for a file with 10 sources or less.

Apologies if this advice doesn't help...I've never used Acquisition, so I don't know how similar to LW it is!! Read through these threads anyway, in case they help.

If you're searching for movie files, remember to always check the file with Bitzi before download. If a file has heaps of sources but not Bitzi rating, chances are it's fake. There's more info in the threads below, including instructions for using Bitzi;)
