Please Help!!! LW will not open!!!
 

The installation went perfect, BUT WHEN I OPEN LW I KEEP ON
GETTING this LIMEWIRE SETUP DOCUMENT where it asks me what language i want it at and what my internet connection is. THEN IT ASKS ME TO UNBLOCK LIMEWIRE FROM MY FIREWALL. I unblock it but the MESSAGE DOES NOT GO AWAY. The FIXES haven't worked for me and i have TROUBLE LOOKING FOR THE PREFERENCES THING and I HAVE INSTALLED the JAVA 1.5 or whatever it is. So:

1. How do i get rid of the message?:confused::confused::confused:
2. How do i get that preferences thing so i can delete it?:bangh::bangh::bangh:

Are you sure that you're not clicking on the installer icon by mistake? Try going into All Programs, click on LimeWire & see if it opens from there.

Did you download LW using the online or offline installer? Try the offline installer...go to the download page, click to download LW, then when the dialogue box pops up asking whether you want to save or run...close the box or click 'cancel'. You'll see an option to download again or to use the offline installer. Take the offline installer.

For info about deleting the preferences folder: See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location).

actually it just opened and is now working fine. it was just that the "next" button on the setup thing was hidden and barely visible at the bottom. thank you though for your help.
