Trouble transfering songs to Itunes

I am new to LW. I use windows vista and LW Ver 4.12.14 and Java 1.6.0. I was able to download songs to LW with no problem. The songs show up in the LW library and I can play them on my computer from there.
All of the LW downloaded songs Automatically show up in a Shared Itunes file listed below the Itunes Library. I am unable to play the shared LW songs from Itunes. When I try, I try to play each song a dialog box pops up----it says Network Stalled.....Rebuffering Stream. After several minutes, a very small portion of the song loads and is audible.

When I sync the ipod to Itunes, none of the shared LW songs tranfer to the ipod. I tried consolidating the libraries and that did not help either.

I suspect the reason the transfer to the ipod or to the Itunes library does not happen is because the shared LW songs (which are listed in the Itunes Shared folder) are not fully downloaded into Itunes. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. Thanks,

You're right, those LW shared songs aren't in the iTunes library;) That's just a playlist so you won't be able to add to your iPod from there. Try adding files to the iTunes library from your LW saved folder...go to LW's library, highlight a file & click Explore. That should take you to your saved folder. There's more info below.

I'm not sure why you're getting that error though:confused: Maybe try the iTunes help site, or their forum, unless somebody else here knows.

I wonder if that's a Vista only issue. I haven't heard of that before. Or perhaps specific user problem lol ... either way, thanks for letting us know about your issue. It may well be a new bug that is semi vista related.

It sounds to me like an issue with um .. can't remember what it's called (french sounding word) but related to the sharing between LW & iTunes. If so, it may also affect people sharing iTunes on a network (LAN).

But then it might also be a Java issue. Since java behaves differently on different people's systems.
