computer illiterate needs help...sorry!

hey, i down loaded lime wire (not pro) last week and it all seemed to work fine and lots of results for music but had to rush out to work so turned off my computer. when i came back all thrilled to get using limewire i can't get any music apart from two kelly clarkson songs...whoopdedoo :shoot:

ive think i have sorted out any firewall issues but myself and my computer dont really get on...

em so my problem is that even after its been on for hours it says limewire is still connecting to the network and that i may not get many search resukts until it does and those little bar things at the bottom only have one green one

sorry if im not explaining myself very well! any help mucho appreciated :wai:

The chances are that your University has installed "bandwidth Shaping" (aka anti-P2P) equipment on your internet connection.

This practice started in the US with IT university/college administrators installing this new equipment during the summer holidays. Now I understand that this practice has moved to this side of the Atlantic.

Make friends with the IT people, may be one of them will help you out.
