help! (can't download?)
 

I was on the old basic limewire and was able to download music. Now I went to get 4.12.15 and I can not get music anymore! I have check the firewall and limewire is bypassing it. I can not figure out what to do!!!! any help would be appreciated!

Well for starters you need to tell us what's going on:p

Is your LW properly connected??

You can't get music anymore...is the search not working??

Or, is the search working but songs won't download?? Do files not move into the download pane??

Or, do songs move into the download pane but sit connecting for ages & get stuck needing sources forever??

You see how it is when we have to start guessing...a PITA:lmao:

First thing to try is: Delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location).
Fixes for LimeWire
This will kill all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things. If you're not sure of your settings, go through LW's tools > options & write them all down, so that you can reset things later.

Well, the search won't work. I will search up an artist under Audio and then search it but nothing will come up. No options come up.

Are you connected properly (how many green connection bars do you see)?
If your connection is ok, try this: Problems with the search

Did you delete the preferences folder? That's fixed this problem for some people.
