I'm new ... VIRUS Worms etc.

I'm a newbeeeeee. I have tried to download numerous files today and run them all thru AVG. A threat was found in all of them (about 20 program exe rar and zip files). AVG response was to heal them. The repair was to delete them. Is there a way I can defeat this problem? Can anyone give me some advice as to what to do? Would the Pro version overcome? :rolleyes_2:

....Listen to your AV and what it is saying to you...
Most .exe, .rar and .zip files on the Gnutella Network contain Viruses....

WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of!

Also Updating to Pro will not make the virus filled files go away...

Wondering ... Thanks. I hope u don't see this as a silly question. Is there a way of of getting an infected free program? Otherwise it appears there is not much promise in using this type of download (except MP3's)

I Must Be The Only One

I must be the only one using Limewire that has no problems, only downloads being slow, I find the new version better but can only download 2 songs at a time, but info on what I"m getting is more accurate and not so much junk.:PEACE:

yep...go to the store and buy them...

your best bet for any sort of success is to right clixor on the search result and choose bitzi lookup

Yeah well buying is an option. Some company's only offer products on a trials with features disabled or time limited. Very frustrating My purpose is to try a fully featured product and this one way of doing it. I have been to Blitzi and found it the answer. Thank you for your reply. Cheers
