I can't find anything!
 

I"m a bit unsure of what's going on with my Limewire. I downloaded it earlier this week & haven't been able to download anything, nor be able find anything.

What happens is, I run a search, anything, even a simple word like 'Cat', it appears that a search is being done (I can see the limewire icon revolving, so it must be searching eh?), but there are never any results.

What things should I check out to come to a positive solution?

Are you connected properly (how many green connection bars do you see)?
If your connection is ok, try this: Problems with the search

And if that's no help, delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location).
Fixes for LimeWire
This will kill all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things.

In LW go tools > options > searching > basic & check whether the 'show license warning' box is ticked. If it does, untick it > Apply > ok...see if that makes any difference.

How do i delete the preference folder? Tools > Options > Advanced > Preferences?

Lots of info about deleting the preferences folder, including the location of the prefs folder, is in the 'Fixes for LW' thread in my first post. Click on that blue link;)
If you've just suddenly had trouble connecting (ie LW's worked before) then delete the prefs folder & see if that helps!
