I upgraded LimeWire to 4.14.8 and am using Java 1.6.0_02
Before upgrading, Limewire would automatically shut down after about 30 minutes. I then Upgraded to Frostwire, but it would also shut down after 30 minutes. I read in these forums to downgrade Java to 1.5, but I didn't want to do that. This morning, my older version of Limewire asked me to upgrade, so I did. And it seems to have done the trick, it doesn't shut down anymore. If you have the same problem with java 1.6.0_02 or if it kept shutting down, then uprgrade to Limewire 4.14.8 See if it helps.
