Help Me!! (transfer to iPod)

I've just downloaded limewire... got a nice library going. And then I tried to snyc it to my iPod. It showed the shared files on iTunes, it let me play them on my iTunes account, but I couldn't sync them to my iPod. If anyone could help me with that, it'd be greatly appreciated. A friend of mine had an account, and he says you have to burn it to a disk and load it to iTunes before I could sync it to my iPod.

Help is greatly appreciated!!
