![]() I cannot connect to the network for some reason, while another machine on the same network can. I am being told that there is a firewall up, yet I have none installed on my machine. 1. I am using Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 3 2. With no firewalls (at least I couldn't find one, and I never installed one) 3. 512MB RAM 4. I have about 9GB available on the drive for downloads. 5. Cable Connection 6. RCA Cable Modem - Model # DCM325 Linksys Etherfast Cable/DSL Router with 4 Port Switch - Model # BEFSR41 ver4.2 7. Home connection 8. Limewire 4.9.33 Java 1.4.2_05 9. Comcast is my ISP 10. "Your test worked!!" 11. There are 2 computers connected to the router if that's what you mean. The first port is being used by an XP machine and it has 0 problems with connecting to Limewire even with a firewall in place. 12. First attempt with LW on this network... The thing is that I can host games on Warcraft III (port in 6000 range) without a problem... also, I used to be on a different network and was able to access LimeWire without a problem. This is a new issue in that regard. 13. Yes, I see a brick wall. 14. Right now I'm trying port forwarding, but as I stated earlier, WC3 is no problem, but Limewire will not connect. 15. I used Avast Anti-virus (demo) and Ewido (demo) in the past, but both have been uninstalled. The only other program that even comes close would be AdAware. 16. I live in the United States of America. I hope you can help me cos this is bugging me. Thank you. |
