help - windows player wont play my downloads i'm a bit stuck. i got all excited after successfully downloading all the things i want to watch but when i try to open them my windows media player appears and says it cant open the file or doesnt have proper 'codec'.....what can i do? i'm not great on the computer so nice and simple please |
Hiya You can try to download and install the Microsoft Windows Media Player Codecs Pack.... But, they are not really very good... (Open the floodgates of arguments... ) Anyway... First try this... Down in my sig you will see Cole2k Codecs Click on that link and download ONLY the Cole2k version 6.0.9 Standard pack. Download it and SAVE it to any folder that you like in your Documents... Not to your Desktop !!! After you have successfully downloaded it... Run it by double-clicking on the file... BE SURE to select EASY install... NOT Advanced... After you have finished the install, you should Shut Down your computer. After you Start Up again, all... I mean ALL stuff should play... movies and music. It's free. :eek: |
