Are you fully connected to the network ??
Do you see any red bars (bottom left corner) ??
Do you see a wall in front of the globe ??

If you don't and your fully connected try this....
Go to Tools > Options > Searching > Lisence Warning and make sure the box is not ticked and select apply...

If you are not connected could you post these details please...

Default Cannot Connect

I am running Windows XPsp2, limewire 4.9.37, AVG 7.5, Java 1.6.0 and windows firewall. I downloaded limewire and followed the directions allowing the exceptions in the fire wall for Gnutella, nothing but, "Lime Wire has detected a Firewall". Any advise will be greatly appreciated, hope I did not spend 49.95 for nothing.

Thanks,

Hi mre,

I hope you haven't been scammed.
Have you just bought LW? If so, it sounds like it.

The only official site for downloading either basic (free) or Pro is Lime Wire » Official Website & Free Download, BitTorrent «
LW Pro costs $21.95 for 6 months worth of free updates & email support, or $34.95 for a year's worth. The current version of LW is 4.14.10.

Default Omg

Just noticed that, when I did a search for Limewire, I was directed to clickbank.com and they may have screwed me out of 49.95.

Thanks,

Default Sorry to hear that

First get Shareaza 2.2.5 from this offical site SourceForge.net: Shareaza its a free download honestly.
Install it and get it working through your firewall and/or router. From there search for P2P companies such as Bearshare, Limewirepro 4.14, imesh, emule, frostwire, morpheus, bearflix. Some of these may ask you for money so try to find the files, usually in a ZIP or RAR file, that have a crack serial or keygen included. Always follow Install instructions which can be found in the Notepad file or MS-DOS file (right click and open with Notepad). Free access to loads of P2P companies awaits you. NEVER Pay again for music, movies, games and software. ALWAYS follow install instructions within downloaded program ZIPS usually on Notepad file or in MS-DOS file (right click and open with notepad).
Please Please Please share your files.

If they want to use LW, mre can download it for free from the official site & know that they're getting the app with no malware included

mre, take care if you ever do download .exe, .zip or .rar files...these are often infected. Make sure that you're using a good AV. Keep it updated & scan all files that you've downloaded before you open them!

Default Thanks for your help

Just found out that I have been scammed, I am going to attempt to get the charges stopped tommorrow. By the way, I uninstalled the version that came from clickbank.com and downloaded the free version from Limewire and it works. Evidently the version they sold me is corrupt. Thanks again for your help.

It wouldn't of been Clickbank that you got the scam version from, it would of been another site that uses Clickbank for payments...
When I first started out I got scammed (Twice mind you ), but the time I paid using Clickbank, I emailed them straight away and they refunded me without hesitation...
