No movie i download will play. Please Help any movie that i download will not play |
Well Thanks for all the info. I guess I will guess. Next time you might offer up a little more info like the media player you are using. What kind of file you're trying to play. Stuff like that really helps us help you. You might need codecs. Try this one. Like I said it's only a guess. Download the K-Lite Codec Pack. You could also try another Media Player. no movie will play Sorry im new to this its an avi movie i downloaded from limewire i have downloaded that codec pack as well as the 2 other ones and downloaded the player you suggested to someone else nothing seems to work. I really dont mean to sound dumb but i have been fighting with this all day:bangh::bangh::bangh: |
Sent PM. Take a Look and if your still stuck let me know. Nobody thinks your dumb. Thats why we are here to help people out (if we can) |
I cannot review a movie while downloading |
If you are trying to preview a Video with the Limewire Player it won't. It's only an audio player. What Player are you using?? Could also be a Fake File. |
me too!!!! I have vista and I am having a hard time playing some of the avi videos. I have downloaded the vista codec pack and the divx codecs and most recently the k lite pack (which uninstalled the others) and nothing will work with some of the movie files I tried to view with wmp, and the GOM player. I get error cood1199. I am going to loose my mind soon. Thanks |

I have tried to wait until they have downloded completly as well, and they still will not play. But thanks for responding though. |
Well guys or gals, this is only MY opinion, but I think WMP is the BIGGEST Pile of CRAP that you can use. It seems to me, and I have experianced this firsthand, WMP ALWAYS needs something like codex or there seems to Always be transfer problems from Limewire to WMP. It just doesn't have to be so difficult. Believe me, cuz I don't and never will ever use WMP again I would suggest trying VLC Player. Has Codec built in and will play almost anything. If you're interested, here is the link. It is Highly Recommened here on the Forums. VLC media player - Overview :D |
ermmmm...well I have used WMP pretty much exclusively for ages....and I just download the K-lite codec pack and all is good....VLC player WILL play incomplete files though, and that is a good thing, neh? |
Thanks to all . Problem solved by down loading another media player. This is my first time on the forum with lots of help. Thanks:xirokrotima: |
i downloaded the vlc player, and the files still will not play on wmp or gom player. anymore suggestions?????? |
DivX codecs What about downloading DivX codecs, that helped me to play movies on Windows Media, I may be off the beaten track, I hope not, but I'm not professional and it's just a suggestion...
