maramum: Look in Control Panel-->Documents. you should find a folder titled 'shared'. This Folder is put there by LW for the purpose of holding your downloads. Open this by RClick. You should then see folders or files for all your LW downloads. Open any one. I choose the least important or smallest -do not be surprised if what you see bears no relation to what you have downloaded. Just curse the idiot that made it available and delete it without opening. Keep opening until you see the basic downloaded file itself. RClick and you you should see a list of choices. If you see 'Open With' or 'Run As Administrator' try it. If that fails then drag the file from its folder to the Desktop. Make and name a new folder and insert the file.
To put the file onto a cd, then again go onto the internet and download a program called 'Nero 7' trial version. When you open Nero it will allow you to open a part designed to copy the file to cd. Now all you need to do is drag the file from desktop into the Nero box and click 'next' or 'Burn' whichever you see. Always look at the top centre of the Nero frame. there you can choose between cd/cddvd/dvd. Do this first.Keep trying to open things up and you will get there.
With a ZIP file then you must have a zip program installed to unzip it. If you haven't got a zip program then go to Mozzilla or Explorer and put either 'winrar' or 'winzip' in the search box and download a trial from the original site. Now all of this can seem very daunting and complicated. It isn't. It just requires a little practice, and you can't break anything. I was in your situation on Xmas Eve and it took me until yesterday to get sorted. I read as many threads on New Posts as seemed to apply to my situation and printed out those I wanted. I find it easier to work that way.
