![]() When I try to look for a song on limewire, a message comes up on top of the search screen that says " ! only search results with the limewire logo are official Limewire communications" and no songs are searched. I go to where it says "more info" and have gotten nowhere. I just paid for limewire pro and I don't know why it isn't working. |

![]() The orange warning banner with the padlock was added because there's been a bogus LW update showing up in search results. It's a 75.7 KB .exe & shows up as "Urgent LimeWire update - download & install now". If people download that thing they could end up infected. To try to prevent people from downloading a dangerous file, the warning banner was added to LW's interface. The padlock symbol doesn't apply to music, movies etc...just to LW updates ![]() Is your LW connected (all green/blue connection bars)? If LW's connected, try the fixes below. 1. In LW go tools > options > searching > basic & check whether the 'show license warning' box is ticked. If it does, untick it > Apply > ok...see if that makes any difference. 2. Problems with the search 3. Delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location). Fixes for LimeWire This will change all of your settings within LW's options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things to the way you like them. Vista users: LimeWire Pref Folder in Vista If LW's not connected, try the fixes below. If nothing helps, post back with your system details. If LW Will Not Connect |

![]() I have tried all suggestions and I still can not complete a search. Only one small bar is green and the rest of the bars are red, however it says that I am connected. When I type in a song or artist to search , nothing comes up. the screen stays blank and I have waited as long as 30 min. This is the same for the free Basic program as well as the Pro program that I purchased totoday. I sent an e-mail to LIMEWIRE TECH SUPPORT and I have not gotten a reply from them with help solutions. Oh, by the way I am using WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL. Any other suggestions? Thanks, Quayapp |

![]() Sorry to hear that, I don't know what else to do, I think I just need someone to come and do it for me, like a computer tech or something. The way you described your connection is exactly like mine. I am pretty sure it has something to do with the security of the computer, I know nothing about computers so I don't want to mess around with it myself. If anything comes up let me know as will I for you. |
