search yields no results (new user)

hi

i have just joined the forum after installing Lime wire last night, when i search for a song or artist i get this message come up
"limewire is currently connecting to the network. Your sreach may not return many results until you are fully connected to the network" does anyone know what this means, obviously i have an internet connection up and running so i ma a little baffled, any help really appreciated.
