Paper_Nest is flying high
Default Paper_Nest Introduction (search results)

Hello, this is my first post on this site. The reason I registered here was to address problems I am still having with Limewire Version 4.16.3.

I enter in an artists name in the audio section and it completes the search as indicated by the 'search' tab gradually changing colour as if loading but presents no results in the usual download space below and shows only the figure zero next to the artist name.

Between the search tab and the download space there is an orange strip which states '! only search reults with a [limewire symbol] are official Limewire communications' and it's around the time that this statement appeared that I have been unable to get any songs appearing in the download space at all.

The 'genre', 'artist' and 'album' boxes to the left of the screen are also frustratingly blank with a zero figure. I live in a house and it's a cable connection. The firewall is switched off and therefore shouldn't effect the connection but it's the internet connection which seems faulty.

Any suggestions?

That wouldn't be the problem as that padlock notice you see at the top of your searches is to notify you of a particular search result that contains a virus...
It's a 75.7 KB .exe & shows up as "Urgent LW update - download & install now". If people download that thing they could end up infected. To try to prevent careless people from downloading a dangerous file, the warning banner was added to LW's interface.

The padlock symbol doesn't apply to music or video etc, only to LW updates...

Try going to Tools > Options > Searching > Lisence Warning and make sure the box is not ticked and select apply...

If that still doesn't help try replacing the gnutella.net file...
