Problems w/Downloaded Songs....

I recently availed thefree version of LIMEWIRE. My OS is Windows Vista Home basic. My problems are the following: After downloading songs, I can't play it within the Limewire Media Player. On the shared folder of LIMEWIRE, the downloading songs exist. I tried I-Tunes but data were present even in the Limewire submenu inside I-Tunes. Sometimes I can see the downloaded songs with "incontinuos" description attached to that particular song. I also tried uninstalling then installing LimeWire for 3x's.

Have you looked in your Shared folder?

MY limewire media player will NOT work either and also my library of lot's of songs will NEVER come up. I hate the windows player and I don't want some fancy player I don't need. What the hell? This has happened in the past and the library has been slower than molasses, but I am going insane with this bullshit.HEY LIMEWIRE, GET ON THE BALL, THESE ARE HUGE SIMPLE ISSUES.

The files are in your Shared folder.

You can play them from within Limewire by clicking on the Library tab and then selecting Shared. Choose a song (or video) and then click Launch (at bottom of screen).

You can also play the files by going to your Shared folder and use the player of your choice (you don't need to have LW running).

Read the sticky notes on this forum for more of the basics of LW.

The files may be in there, but i'd like to see them come out someday and i'd love to see somebody click launch and have it play. I've read enough and been a member long enough to know that ALOT of people are having this problem and I've not seen one appropriate response from limewire. These are BASIC, SIMPLE problems and I've had problems with the library taking forever for a long time. But now, it's just click on it or anything and you don't get anything. The media player is extremely annoying and doesn't work at all, so if someone could fix this or limewire could address these BIG problems it would be so nice. This forum is filled with people saying this, but is there no moderator or admin who reports major problems?

Tooncie,

If you desire a response from Limewire you'll not find it here. LW does have a site, and I believe Pro users can get support there.

I've clicked Launch and listened to songs and watched movies many times; never had a problem with it.

You say that you "hate the windows player" and "don't want a fancy player". What media player do you use? The easiest and smallest player I found (and use) is 1By1 (free at download.com). I also don't understand what you mean when you say that your library is slow.

If you want Limewire programmers to know something, you should probably find their site. In this forum, we are all volunteers. Yelling at us will not motivate us to complain to LW on your behalf. We are here to try to help one another in the spirit of P2P.

Well, thank you for the lesson, but there is a page to contact the webmaster and there are moderators and admins. That's terrific that your player works and I didn't say it was slow, I said it USED to be slow, now it does not show up at all. If you are a volunteer and can help all these people with the same people, then have at it. I'm a volunteer also, but I help rescue animals. If you are a mod or admin at a site and it says "any thing you want to change or you feel is a problem", then I figure they know what they are doing. In the meantime, if you don't have a problem, but for 2-3 weeks everyone else does why comment. If you can't resolve, or think that is yelling, then you have no problem like I said so if you can't help, play your media player and love your library. Again, thank you for the etiquette lesson and I'll still try to help all those people and get some answers. Have a good evening.

LW's media player has always been unreliable. We generally recommend using your own player by disabling the LW media player. Other players of reasonable choice in no particular order: Alternate players
