searches result in nothing
 
I've been typing in searches, and the "lime" just spins, but I get no results. I bought Pro a few months ago, and now they act like they've never heard of me. Can't get any tech support at all, put in email address and they say it's invalid (same address they sent billing confirmation to!!!!) frustrated and need help! Please

For your problem of no search results:
Is your LW connected properly (all green/blue connection bars)? If LW's connected, try the fixes below.

1. In LW go tools > options > searching > basic & check whether the 'show license warning' box is ticked. If it's ticked , untick it > Apply > ok...see if that makes any difference.

2. Problems with the search

3. Delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location).
Fixes for LimeWire
This will change all of your settings within LW's options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things to the way you like them.
Vista users: LimeWire Pref Folder in Vista

If LW's not connected, try the fixes here.
If LW Will Not Connect
If nothing there helps, post back with your system details:)



For your problem of email address not being recognised:
Did you buy Pro from the official site? Lime Wire » Download LimeWire
Did you pay LimeWireLLC for Pro (check your CC statement)?

Did you buy Pro for a year or 6 months? Your email address will only be recognised in the official database while your Pro's current - eg if you bought Pro for 6 months, your email address stays in the database for 6 months.

After you bought Pro, you would have got an email from LW with a link to your Pro personal download page. Have a look through your emails & see if you can find it.

If you're sure that you bought from the official site & your Pro's still current, send an email to limenathan (click on link) & explain what's happened:)

I'm not going to worry about pro. I'm sure it's because my system crashed and I did a restore. A lot of info was lost. Basic seems to be just as good. Thanks for your help. :super:

same thing happening to me i am using the basic version green thing spinning round but i am getting no search results
