Hello from New/Old Member

I downloaded and I believe I subscribed (paid subscription) to download your program. I did this over a year ago and quite frankly then never used your program. I wanted to download some music today so I tried to open your program which is in my computer however it will not open. Was there a time limitation or something on the program and you have it locked out?
For some reason also, you have no record of my email address. I put in every email address I ever used and you recognize none of them. I would like to receive a reply from someone.
Thanks/Lee

12 months ago the 'default' buy option was for 6 months only for updates & support.

This site is not a limewire 'we' ... we are not Limewire, this is the gnutella forums which represents many gnutella client programs, one of which includes LimeWire. :)

Reasons for your problems are either installation or connection. Check those section Sticky's at the top of each of those sections for tips to solve your problem. :)

* And please do not go blaming people for 'your' not reading the buy options properly such as the 6 month support & updates; go back to the buy page option & check for yourself what options you forgot to take more notice of. ;)

http://www.gnutellaforums.com/images/icons/icon5.gif Hello from New/Old Member: Well thank you "all knowing one" for criticizing me about my reading habits and also for using Gnutella Forum for trying to reach them! Is it my fault that Gnutella is something THEY USE to communicate? I know very little about Limewire and have really never downloaded music from them. They did take my money however which is foolish because there are FREE sites out there. I know even less about Gnutella and still less about you, whether you are connected with Gnutella, Limewire, or just not connected period. I was hoping to get some help from this Forum but I can see where that is not possible.

'If' you read the Forum Rules (click here) .. perhaps you might understand we cannot help much without certain details. The forum rules are 'in your face' at top of every page you see both before registering & before you make your first post. Get annoyed at a moderator or the forum administrator for pointing this out to you. lol :D It was your pure arrogance not reading them, scrolling past them to get to the post box ...

p2p = peer to peer = person to person. So p2p is sharing files from person to person. So files on the gnutella network ... music, videos, etc. are what we choose to share to others. When you connect when using LW you are connecting & sharing via other users. :) We are happy to help on these forums & we do it as a hobby.

Is your program opening at all? Or is the problem it is unable to connect? System details - help us to help you (click on blue link)

Newbie response

I got annoyed only because you let me have it with both barrels and told me I didn't know how to read, etc instead of being a little decent and helpful. You are still calling me arrogant etc. There is a direct link from Limewire to Gnutella. Gnutella is on the Limewires website for help on a forum. So what is one to believe if one cannot go there to get help? I think your reply to my post, was rude and out of line. But that aside.
I could find no other way to contact Limewire via telephone number. One gets busy and cannot spend hours wastefully. Thus I thought I would try the forum. When I click on the Limewire.exe file NOTHING HAPPENS. I was under the belief that the charge was a one time charge. If I remember correctly that was the way it was explained to me. Water under the bridge now. I think I will just forget about Limewire and find another place to download music from. I suppose I will have to uninstall Limewire.
By the way, at the top of the Gnutella Forums it encourages persons New to the forum, to post as a Newbie which I did to become acquainted with the forum people etc. At least that was a friendly gesture. I can't say much beyond that!
Some other free download websites would be useful.

When you downloaded Pro, you still have the installer right? I'm sure you were not silly enough to trash the installer you paid for. ;)

If that's the case, then follow the advice here Reinstall options: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...tml#post333278 since I can at least ascertain you are a 'windows' user & not linux or mac. ;)

Yes that one off offer for pro does not include support unfortunately. BTW Pro support is reknown for being very slow, much faster responses are received here. But the point I was making is ... we cannot help greatly in some cases without system details, none of which you supplied.

(The Attachment below shows what you saw 'above' the post when you were attempting to create a new thread. And you get upset because we were you were 'still' stubborn not to read the rules despite them being 'in your face' several times.)

I have conections problems too

I am new at LW. I followed the instructions to install the program.
And the program does open. But it does not conect. I have widows vista. Tried diferent things and still can not conect. It says I have a fire wall; I go there and disable the fire wall; and still no conection. LW keeps trying to cenect. But nothing happens. You think you can help? I will apreciate.
Thanks. Artraider18

Vista is more difficult to work with that XP. But some more information would be very helpful. :) System details - help us to help you (click on blue link)

For your Vista software firewall, follow the advice here: http://www.limewire.org/wiki/index.p...r_Cant_Connect
