Problem with incomplete downloads.

Hello everybody.

I'm experiencing a strange thing.
Limewire does not go on dowloading incomplete files when I switch my computer off and start it again.

The incomplete files are still in the "Incomplete" folder but they do not appear any longer in the LW window.

Have you got an idea of what is happening ?

Do not hesitate to ask for any further information if you need them.
(Sorry for my English...I'm French ^^).

Hi alissteur,
Are you closing LW correctly? or just turning the comp. off?
Have you tried resuming incompletes? going to incomplete folder, highlighting some, right click and select, resume downloads?

I've heard of rare occasions of this happening before. The only idea I can think of to resume them would be to downgrade to LW 4, resume, then upgrade back to LW 5. Unfortunately LW 5 has no resume function for incomplete files.

ie: in LW 4, click on Library, click on incomplete files tab on left side near bottom. Now select all & press the Resume button. This will force the incomplete files back into the Download window. :)

BTW there is no guarantee that the incomplete files will resume from their previous %, but in any case, they will all show 0% until they actually start downloading again. ;) After upgrading LW again, I'd recommend doing searches to try to find sources to download from.

Thanks a lot :).

I had not thought about trying to resume incompletes from the "Incomplete" folder. To answer your question NewBee, yes, I close LW before turning the PC off;).

This seems quicker than up and downgrading. I will try if the first solution does not work.

Thanks once more.:)

Thanks Lotr,
Didn't realise 5 had no resume incompletes function, another reason to stay with 4 !
