Major socket problems

hey im new to gnotella, and after the first time trying it, i thought it was great, but there' s just one major problem

while gnotella is open and even after i close it, there are no more sockets left availble on my computer this means i cannot do anything internet-related after running gnotella, i cant connect to HTTP pages, mirc gives me a socket error, so do FTP clients, ICQ can't connect, etc..

I'm just wondering if anyone else has the problem (I am running winME) and if the createors of gnotella are aware of this problem and are on their way to fix it..
