Why aren't active hosts letting Gnotella in?

Just because the client is no longer supported, why isn't it connecting to existing active hosts?

I've tried dozens on a recent gnutella.net file and I'm getting some kind of activity, but nothing is connecting.

Does anyone have a host that has gotten Gnotella 1.0.5 to work?

Any help would be appreciated.

The easiest way is, forget Gnotella and use one of the active developed clients...

Because it's not good for the network.
