There are some side issues involved in disabling it completely.

Version 1.0 has had major changes in this area and those who have found excessive CPU usage after file scanning by AfileDB.exe are strongly encouraged to sign up for the beta testing of 1.0 to ensure the issues are resolved. Please see this posting:
