cant connect anyone having trouble connecting gnotella? It was working fine earlier and now I can't connect. HELP!!!!! |
Ditto Me Either. I just installed and it won't connect. |
I can't connect either It looks as though you are not alone. I cannot connect either. I am a new user so, I thought that I did something wrong. So, I uninstalled and re-installed and still nothing. I even tried other hosts that someone else had suggested. I suppose we will just have to keep trying. |

Is anything being done to help us connect? I am just wondering what the problem actually is and if anything is being done to correct it? I have not really seen much info so I thought I would just ask. I am a new user and I perhaps don't understand what is involved here. Thanks and have a great day! |

Thanks Thanks Cyclocide! Much appreciated! |
Something is seriously fubar Hasnt worked right for two days, freezes all the time, slow, no hosts... Really strange, been working fine b4 yesterday. |
Nice Work! CycloCide, It looks like quite a deluge of messages regarding the outage. I just wanted to say Nice Work. You've got a lot of people (many of whom are angry and / or confused) that use this forum, and it seems to me that you respond promptly and helpfully. |

I'm new and don't understand. How do you get it to go to the "hostcache" site? |
can't connect either It seemed to be connecting two days ago (7/3/) but not anymore. Any answers?? |
RE I'm new and don't understand. How do you get it to go to the "hostcache" site? Go to the first button marked "HOSTS" in the upper right corner and add the hosts gnutella.hostscache.com:6346 . You can copy this by highlighting it and pressing CNTRL-C the put your cursor in the hosts box the press SHIFT-INSERT. Then press the ADD button and watch it go. You can jump up the number from 2 to 10 or so if you desire but it should work as is for you. Check out the FAQ as it has more of these hints that you might find usefull :-) |
How to connect gnutellahosts.com and router.limewire.com are down. For how long, I don't know. But for the time being, you can connect by clicking on hosts, and at the pulldown menu, highlight and delete what's in there and type in gnutella.hostscache.com:6346, then click add. That should do it for ya. :D -Vyx ^..^ |
um.... no.... What it does for me is it goes: connecting, handshaking, outgoing, then it disappears..... it just goes off my list. For all three hosts. if i click keep up itll connect me to a bunch of crap servers and they keep disconnecting and i cant download anything... I got this program 3 days ago and it worked.. The next day i try to connect and it wont. This is very frustrating. |
