firewall new user problem

This has probably been asked a thousand times:

I work for a university which has a firewall and the admin guys probably wont help.

how do I use limewire in this situation, i think i changed the port to 8080 and 8000 but that didnt work and i tried forcing the ip.

I miss file sharing since napster changed sides.

help would be appreciated.
