asf files (how do you play it on DVD players)

i recently downloaded some movies with **asf** extension and i burned it to a CD, but i can't watch it on my home DVD player.

Can anyone tell me how i can watch this or format it?

.asf is a format used for streaming movies... If you want to play .asf files (or any movie files) on a DVD/VCD player you need to convert the movie to a VCD compatible MPEG file... This is usually very time consuming and requires quite an amount of diskspace and processor power. Check out "TMPGEnc" (http://www.tmpgenc.com/) if you need a program to convert movies into mpeg files.

kind regards
