New bug for .7 2 minutes into using .7 I found a new bug. It occurs in the upload/download folders. If the folder you save files too starts out with the same name the folder your sharing has, Gnotella reports a conflict. For example, if I have D:\MP3 as my shared folder and D:\MP3 Downloads, Gnotella will report a share. This seems to occur with spaces and Gnotella not reading the rest of the folder name past the space. All and all, good job on .7 though! ------------------ Magic mat "On the Internet, nobody knows you're a dog." - Peter Steiner ICQ# ******** |
This isn't a bug report, but there were no forums approprite for this and I already had a topic going, so here is good a place as any. I love that Gnotella auto resumesdownloads that where going on before you closed it down. I was downloading a string of files but had to quite and as soon as I opened it again, all was where I left it. Stuff like that is why I use Gnotella. Great job guys. ------------------ Magic mat "On the Internet, nobody knows you're a dog." - Peter Steiner ICQ# ******** |
Yep this is a bug, it will be fixed in the next version. |
I think that is a feature, not a bug. It is a good idea to have your download folder different from your shared folder. It helps prevent people from sharing incomplete files (i.e. files that they are in the process of downloading themselves). Of course, I could be wrong. |
Oops! Nevermind my post, I misread your message. You're absolutely correct in your thinking, and it appears to be a bug. |
I also had this bug when loading the program. When I ran it for the first time, I set my download directory but left the upload directory blank. Next time I got into Gnotella I got the error about having the same up/download directories and had to re-set my download directory. I have since selected an upload directory and it seems to be working. Just another variation of the same bug I guess? Great job guys! |
