Run-time error '326' I've got a problem w/ Gnotella that occurs when the program is installed in the Program Files dir (it doesn't happen when installed in the root dir--works ok when installed there). I get the following dialog box coming up when I go to run Gnotella: --------------------------------------------+ Gnotella [X]| --------------------------------------------+ | Run-time error '326': | | Resource with identifier 'VERSION' not found| | +----------+ | | OK | | +----------+ | | --------------------------------------------+ Gnotella does not start following the appearance of this error. I'm running WinME final, but this problem occured when I was running 98, too. Also, it seems to me that I must have all the VB runtime libraries that I need to run Gnotella, as it works when in the root dir. But for whatever reason it just doesn't like Program Files . . . For the time being, I've left it installed in a subdir of the root dir, but I'd much prefer to have it w/ the rest of my apps in the Program Files dir. Any help w/ a solution would be greatly appreciated. TIA |
I'm running WinMe, too! I heard it was scheduled for official release until Sept. 14th. How did we get it this early?! *Thanks, Gnotella* http://www.gnutellanews.com/forums/smile.gif I didn't get the full installer, so I wouldn't know, but I'll ask Shaun about it. Nice attempt at the ASCII art. -Yytrium- |
Thanks for passing along my problem. LOL as to the ASCII art. Hey, it looked fine when I had in the form. The lines got screwy when it was posted. I probably should've used some html in there, but oh well . . . I actually got ME from usenet, but who cares? Gnotella still rocks. Oh yeah, I should have noted--I'm running the latest release of Gnotella, but I've had this problem w/ every version I've tried (which includes most of them). Again, thanks for the help. |
