Searching: Why only mp3's?
 

I was using Gnutella v0.56. The nice thing about it was upon entering a search word it would turn back ALL results regardless of file extension. Gnotellav0.7 is only returning back mp3's. How to I change this? I would hate to think I would have to specify a file extension (like jpg, mpeg, etc.) every time I do a search.

This has nothing to do with your "shared extensions" setting in the Configuration window. MP3s are just what people are sharing. Maybe if you specified an extension to the end of your search, that would truncate the results alot. For instance, instead of searching for "DOS manual" you could search for "DOS manual txt"

Okay, that example sucked, but you get the idea...

DONT TYPE: metallica unforgiven II

(this will turn up mp3's)

TYPE: metallica unforgiven II txt

(this will turn up just txt)
