Question slow-lag-dragtella

What in the world is Gnutella doing that it takes 10 minutes to register actions perfomed (switching between views) and restore once it's been running for a while. It's freaking annoying. Are there any fixes, suggestions or what?

Cool

It should take no time at all to switch views. Do you have the latest drivers for your card and DirectX installed?

BTW, Bearshare has Spyware that installs with it.

Default Fixing a slow Gnotella

Gnotella is eating up all all your available processor power by comparing incoming hosts to what you already have in memory. Change your "Max Visible Hosts" from 5000 to 500 or less.

The Max Visable Hosts is in "Network Options" in the config menu, or you can just change the number in the ini file at "HostCacheSize=".

Arrow

Also limit the number of connections to between 4 to 8. Any more is overkill and will also consume CPU ticks...
