Only finding "outgoing" servers/cannot search

Hi,

I just downloaded Gnutella v.56 and I went to
the site http://www.gnutella.co.uk/servers/
and I copied some ip's and "added" a couple.
They all show as "Outgoing". Some disappear immediately and I cannot therefore search . Please help!!!
