After connection, host catcher goes "bye-bye"

The only connection that I can apparently make is on:

gnet.ath.cx:23

All other connections either disappear after two or three seconds, or try to connect for more than one hour at least.

When I do connect on gnet.ath.cx:23, the Host Catcher fills with approx. 50 connections. Gnotella seems to try and connect to each one (which I assume is normal), but then one by one the connection disappears and after about 15 seconds, all IP addresses are gone. At this point, the gnutellaNet connections box and the Host Catcher field is completely blank.

I read the Help file, reviewed as much of the forums as possible, and nothing seems to explain it. Is there anyone out there who has, or has had, this same problem? Is this a bug in the program?

Try gnutellahosts.com:6346.

Yeah gnutellahosts.com is the best to use. The host-cache you were using didn't have any working IP's... it can be frustrating at times, but usually once you get connected you don't have to worry about the connection part of gnotella because a reliable set of hosts will be in your gnotella.net file.

hope this helps,

I have the same exact problem and none of these solutions are working.

Are you behind a firewall?
