Another clueless user
 

I'm trying to connect to the host caches and other addresses I have found, but after a few seconds with the Info(S,R,D) column at "Connecting", it stops and disappears.

I've also tried gnutellahosts.com:6346, but the same thing happens. Please Help!

after connecting to gnutellahosts.com it seems to be normal that the connection ceases after a few seconds - but within these few seconds you should get a bunch of IP's in the host list (try to hit "get more" while connected). At least some of these IP's should work - keep trying until you get connections.
