Exclamation Run-time Error '429'

Could anyone help me out with this error? I've installed gnotella and try to use it for the first time, set all the options and folders, and then when I try to run it for the first time I get the following error message:

Run-time error '429'

ActiveX component can't create object

How can this be resolved?
OS: Win98 Gnotella v. 0.9.7

Thanks for any help!

Lee

Same Problem here when I tried to update 0.9.7 to 0.9.8 (Win98SE).
Completely uninstalled the program, installed to another directory (does anybody else hate the "your shared/download directory has to be on the same drive as the program"-thing?) and everything seems to be fine now...

Reinstalling in a different directory should fix it. You can also delete any *.exe and *.dll left in the Gnotella directory after uninstalling, reboot then reinstall.

In terms of the download dir and having to be on the same drive as the application, this will be fixed in the next version by allowing you to specify the temp folders location so that only the temp dir and the download dir have to be on the same drive.
