this.. is.. frustrating Practically every time I try to transfer something, it says "sending push request" or "busy, retrying in.." and it gives me a time... I thought, ok, but once it reaches 0 it starts again. I am very hard pressed to find any file that doesn't give me this when I try to transfer it. What is this push request thing and how can I actually transfer things, rather than looking at busy messages? |
Same here, I can't DL **** because of reasons mentioned above. People's upload limits I guess. |
You found it,the fundamental problem of the Gnutella Network. There isnīt any obvious solution for that right now, but I would have a close look at some other filesharing systems as well (like Mojonation, Freenet etc.). I had some success with mojonation although it sure isnīt the ultimate thing. Using Furi as gnutella client could also help, as it is capable of looking for different sources of one file. This means that you can automatically switch between many different sources for a file which increases the probability of getting to download it from one of them. Good luck. |
I suspect people are limiting uploads. BUT no one seems to have a problem downloading files from my PC - I have DSL. In fact, people have gotten entire movies from the HD with no problems. Am I the only one who leaves their PC on unattended for the sole purpose of sharing files ?????????? |
