![]() One trick that I use when I'm downloading files from unknown users is to stick to those that say they have T1/T3 or faster. I then choose a few files from those particular users, and whichever one downloads the quickest, I keep. The rest I abort, but hold on to just in case. ;o) I've got a slow modem also and just spent all weekend (50+ hours!!) downloading over 600 MB of information I've needed for about 7 years. But it SOOOO worth the time involved! I'd also recommend looking for an inexpensive DSL modem. There are a places where you can get free service, although paying for it may be worth the price. ![]() |
