how to get around ISPs that block and limit bandwith I am at a university where they have blocked connections to the Gnutella network. Is there anything I can do to get around their firewall at all. |
Probably your university has blocked port 6346. Try to connect to nodes which have other port numbers, use GWebcache to find those. |
To get incoming connections, set your local port to something different than 6346. E.g. you could use the HTTP port 80, or try to use a port number within the area windoze uses for random ports btw. hi Paradog, sorry that i'm not online very often! |
