GtkGnutella 0.90 v. slow on Linux

Hi All,

Has anyone else found gtk-gnutella to be extremely slow on Linux? I'm using redhat 7.3. GtkGnut 0.85b2 is still the bomb, runs like lightening in comparison. Are there any sneaky tweaks/gotchas?

Thanks.

0.90 does a little more things than 0.85 did, and this adds occasionnal CPU bursts, like when it has to save your searches to disk.

Moreover, on startup, 0.90 will hash all your shared files. It will do that once though, so once it is done, it will use far less CPU cycles.
