Uploads Start then die :(

I have just installed gtk-gnutella 0.91 on SuSE 8.1 and am having a problem. I can download fine, but when others try to upload, they see the files, connect and the upload starts and then the speed drops and it dies. Sometimes it will pick up again, but it will die again.

I am not running SuSEfirewall and I have a Netgear FVS318 with port 6346 open to TCP/UDP.

Any ideas on what might be wrong?

What is the reason displayed in the upload pane when this happens?
