why does it download more than 1 file?

I downloaded a music file. It finished downloading but it kept downloading and when I notice I have alot of files MUSIC.mp3 MUSIC.mp3.01 MUSIC.mp3.0.2 and it goes on and on and on. Why does this happen:?

Which version are you using? What are you download settings in the Config / Download pane?
