gtk-gnutella appends a GUID (a long string) to each file

The subject pretty much says it all.

I have gtk-gnutella depositing the finished files in /home/markremo/Music

Everything works fine except the file names end up looking something like:

ArtistName-SongName.mp3.f07777cb7987964ab85019a9da683868

When I manually remove that string the file functions just fine.

To me it looks like a GUID or a checksum.

Anyone know how I can fix this?

Thanks in advance.

I have exactly the same problem.
Well, not a problem, really, but it's annoying.

The only positive aspect is it lets you tell at a glance whether the file was generated by a Posix OS or Windows. :)

SHA1 in the filenames of completed files

I think it is a bug.

Someone maybe intended to have that SHA1-string in the filenames when the files are still incomplete, but to remove it when the file has been downloaded completely. Now it is though other way round, incompleted files have correct filenames, but completed ones have SHA1-string attached to the filename.
