gtk-gnutella not connecting to peers
 

Using gtk-gnutella 93.3 on Mandrake Linux 10.

When running Gnutella client from a console, every 2 or 3 seconds I get the following message:

(WARNING): cannot resolve "myhost.mydomain.net": unknown host

and sometimes other similar messages with other domain names. The DNS Helper is running when I do 'ps'. Others can upload from me but I get no peers in gnutellaConnections and searches return nothing.

I have opened the relevant port in shorewall.

i have the same , my solution (my message was : cannot resolve f254156.

iam using gnome with suse , so i add to etc/hosts file : f254156 that did the trick .....for me

Problem solved. Thanks a lot. Just have to watch for when my non-static ip address changes.
