I am having problems with downloading movies. Some have sound but others dont and I am clueless around computers. Please any advice would be appreciated.

Probably a codec issue. Try using VLC Media Player, it has the codecs built in and can play most files. Or try d/ling another codec pack I see K-Litecode Codec Pack recommended alot.
