I'm not to sure if you are using Phex or Limewire, you haven't said...;)

But to view a downloaded movie get the VLC media player as it has all the necessary codecs for your computer already installed and it's free...
VLC media player - Overview

To make the VLC player your default player...
Go to your shared folder (outside of Limewire) you will find this folder by clicking on one of your files in your LW library and clicking explore...

Right click on one of your video files
Select open with
Select choose program
select VLC
and tick the box that says always use this program to open this file type
Select OK

To burn a movie so you can watch it on your tv you need to have software that will convert the file into dvd format and then burn it...
Two of the more popular apps for this here on the forums are
Dvdsanta and Nero...
These links will explain to you how they work....

Trying to burn an AVI file to dvd

Im using Nero startsmart that came with my windows xp. Everytime I try to add the file to burn... it tells me that its not a supported format. WTF?????

You might have to add it some other way.

Maybe you need to create a project first, or make a data disc, or something like that (I'm no windows user, so I don't know how Nero works exactly).

Try this

I had the same problem, all my movie files were playing as audio files. I went to downloads.com and downloaded a new codex and they are playing fine now. Follow the link below, this is the download I used.
