Previewing doesn't launch Phex3 Vista...
 

Hi y'all,
I'm using Phex and it used to preview few days ago, but now, no way.
in default programs for file extensions such as .mp3 and .avi , it's well selected vlc.exe, but phex don't launch vlc when i press preview button...
i'm using appearance plastic xp, color theme desert bluer, icon pack phex 3, language french, Has anyone had this same issue ? thx...:PEACE::rolleyes_2::):rofl:

I have no experience with Vista, but you can try to take a look into your phex.error.log file if it contains any hint if something has going wrong.
The file is in your Phex configuration folder:
Configuration Files - PhexWiki

i'm sorry, but i do not see any such file in c:\programs\phex\ !

since you apparently deemed it to be unimportant to follow the link GregorK provided, I'll just copy and paste the info for you:

Windows

Since Phex 3.0 the configuration files for Windows are stored in you user application data directory, this is usually something like:

* "C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name>\Application Data\Phex"

or in short form:

* "%APPDATA%\Phex"

If you cant find this directory click Start -> Run and enter %APPDATA%\Phex


Before Phex 3.0 the configuration files were stored in "C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name>\phex".

I'm sorry to tell you that your log file doesn't show any problems. The errors are unrelated and should not cause any trouble.

Can you open a completed and shared file from the Library tab, when you select the file and press the 'Open file' button?

@harlock59: Please try to keep tempers down. Peerless' answers don't always always sound completely polite, but he just commented, that the info how to find the log can be found by following the link, and I assume he saw your post about not finding the file at a location which differs from the one described in the link.

And you should disable your capslock while you're in here. All uppercase sentences read like shouting, and I do hear it like shouting while I read, and shouting can well make tempers of others flare up too, stopping fruitful discussions.

We want to help you use your Phex as well as possible.

So hey, keep tempers down, release the capslock and just go sharing some funny pictures from flickr or some free stuff which people appreciate. It's a good feeling to see your uploads rise and to know that people appreciaty your files.

Fansubbed animes are a great share, too.
And anime music videos (just search for "amv .avi").
