Default "Host busy" question

Sometimes one of the download candidates returns with the message "host busy" and counts down for 20 minutes before it retries the download. It appears that this means that the "Que" is full? Is this 20 minute time period determined by the host (limewire 4.12 in this case) or by Phex on my end?

Also..If it is determined by my Phex...what can I do to
change the 20 minute "host busy" wait time to 10 minutes?

Thanks in advance
Dave

The host busy indeed means that the queue is full, but the time is determined by the uploader.

If you tweak your Phex to ask earlier, that might only get you banned by the uploader.

Sorry, nothing to be done there, except ask the LW people to change their behaviour, or hit the "search" button to get more sources.

Thanks for the response.

I seem to be getting a lot of "Busy Host" responses lately. More than usual. It seems that LW makes me wait 20 mins. BS only makes me wait 1 min.

If there is a way to force a "retry candidate" in a shorter time by adding something in my Phex config files, Id be interested in knowing.

Thanks
Dave

Like Arne said, there is not much you can do. "Tuning" the wait time through source changes, would only result in getting ignored or banned from the candidate and you will loose your chance to download from it at all.

The only way we can add a retry for users is already implemented: Just select the host and click the "retry" button.

This could get you banned at that host, though.
